Devi Sri Prasad is an Indian singer, lyricist, music composer, TV presenter, record producer, and dance choreographer who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry. He is one of the most sought after music composers in the Telugu film industry.He grew up in a well to do family in Madras (now Chennai).His father, G. Satyamurthy, was a renowned scriptwriter in the Telugu film industry who wrote films Telugu films like Devatha (1982), Khaidi No. 786 (1988), and Pedarayudu (1995). Satyamurthy died of a heart attack in December 2015.Growing up in a family with a musical background, Devi Sri Prasad got inclined towards music at a very young age. In childhood, he used to listen to songs of Ilaiyaraaja.Prasads mother enrolled him in Maestro Sri Mandolin U. Shrinivas singing classes when he was in school.
